Hey, I'm Ben
Software Engineering student at Rochester Institute of Technology (B.S., expected December 2028) and AI Developer Intern at JWX. I build backend systems, AI tooling, and self-hosted infrastructure - things that are actually useful.
Status: Available for co-ops & internships 路 Spring 2027
What I'm Building
At Work (JWX)
- Acquisition Chat Bot - Multi-provider code analysis platform for acquisitions on FastAPI, routing between OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic (via AWS Bedrock) behind a single LLM router, with GitHub, GitLab, and Google Drive adapters
- Natural Language DB Query Tool - Streamlit app for querying PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Looker dashboards in plain English
- GitLab MR Review Bot - Autonomous merge request review bot that posts inline findings in the GitLab Changes tab, resolved via emoji reactions
- Model Sensitivity Evaluation Suite - ~90-run evaluation harness testing prompt spec-detail against model choice across Sonnet 5, Opus 5, and Fable 5
Personal Projects
- CTSDeploy - Self-hosted auto-deployment system: GitHub webhooks to Raspberry Pi to live subdomains on
benkruseski.com - CTSStatus - Live status dashboard auto-detecting all CTSDeploy projects: HTTP status, Docker container state, recent deploy logs
- Full Self-Hosted Server - Proxmox home lab running GitLab CE, a full mail stack, Nextcloud, and Immich, with Tailscale and DNS-level filtering
- Journeyman - Keyboard-driven TUI email client in Rust, with native Gmail OAuth2, IMAP support, and a local SQLite cache
- Zed PDF Reader - PDF viewing for the Zed editor via a companion Rust daemon serving a bundled pdf.js viewer
- Clockwork - Terminal UI merging local LAN discovery and Tailscale mesh status into a live device table
- iPhone Message Retriever - Cross-platform CLI/GUI for extracting iPhone SMS/iMessage conversations to PDF
- GrandparentShield - Windows 11 system tray app hardening laptops for non-technical elderly users
- Unified Google Calendar - Aggregates three Google accounts into one calendar view via OAuth2 + Google Calendar API
- Timely - Web app for visualizing weekly class schedules and detecting time conflicts
Currently Working On
Running a ~90-run spec-detail x model-sensitivity evaluation suite across Sonnet 5, Opus 5, and Fable 5, expanding the Acquisition Chat Bot's provider adapters, and deepening expertise in LLM tooling and agentic systems.
